बेल्जियम में बंगाली समुदाय ने अपनी संस्था 'तेरो परबोन' के ज़रिए महान अभिनेता महानयाक उत्तम कुमार को उनकी जन्मशती पर समर्पित अपनी छठी वार्षिक दुर्गा पूजा मनाई। इस उत्सव का मक़सद बंगाली सिनेमा में उनके यादगार योगदान को याद करना और उन्हें सम्मानित करना था, जिसमें उनके यादगार फ़िल्मी किरदारों की तस्वीरें और सारांश पेश किए गए। आयोजकों ने कहा कि इन पहलों से विदेश में युवा पीढ़ी को उनकी सांस्कृतिक विरासत से जुड़ने में मदद मिलती है। वहीं, जिनेवा में 'आगोमोनी स्विस' ने भारतीय सांस्कृतिक परंपराओं का प्रदर्शन करके पांच साल पूरे किए, जिससे यह विभिन्न संस्कृतियों के बीच संवाद का केंद्र बना और विभिन्न समुदायों के बीच विश्वास को बढ़ावा मिला।
