Delhi's Lahori Gate Haveli to Become Shahjahanabad Museum

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has approved a project to transform the restored Lahori Gate haveli in Old Delhi into a museum and interpretation centre dedicated to Shahjahanabad's history. The project will be executed in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), which will design the galleries and select artifacts. The haveli, originally built in 1929 and previously used as a dispensary and storehouse, has undergone extensive restoration.
