Uttarakhand Minister Slams Daler Mehndi For Poor Stage Performance

Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal publicly criticized popular Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi during a tourism festival in New Tehri. Uniyal stopped Mehndi mid-performance, expressing disappointment with his lip-syncing and apparent discomfort on stage. The minister stated that despite a Rs 35 lakh payment, the performance failed to meet audience expectations. Uniyal urged the singer to respect the audience and maintain stage decorum, especially during the Navratri period. Allegations of the singer being intoxicated were made but unconfirmed.

उत्तराखंड के कैबिनेट मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने नई टिहरी में एक पर्यटन महोत्सव के दौरान पंजाबी गायक दिलेर मेहंदी की सार्वजनिक रूप से आलोचना की। उनियाल ने मेहंदी को बीच प्रदर्शन में रोक दिया और उनके लिप-सिंकिंग और मंच पर असहजता से निराशा व्यक्त की। मंत्री ने कहा कि 35 लाख रुपये के भुगतान के बावजूद, प्रदर्शन दर्शकों की उम्मीदों पर खरा नहीं उतरा। उनियाल ने गायक से दर्शकों का सम्मान करने और विशेष रूप से नवरात्रि के दौरान मंच पर गरिमा बनाए रखने का आग्रह किया। गायक के नशे में होने के आरोप लगे लेकिन पुष्टि नहीं हुई।
