The Supreme Court has directed the West Bengal government to ensure Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra receives cooperation from local authorities for her visits to the Krishnanagar constituency. The court urged the state to make appropriate arrangements, especially ahead of the Durga Puja and Diwali festivities. While the state can take time to respond to Moitra's petition, the bench stressed that the MP should not face difficulties in the interim. The court also suggested establishing a protocol for MPs visiting their constituencies, a point the state government agreed to consider.
