Indian equity markets experienced a significant downturn on Monday, with both the Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex closing sharply lower. The Nifty 50 fell 360.25 points to 22,780.25, while the Sensex dropped 1,124.02 points to 72,771.72. Broader markets also saw declines, with small-cap and mid-cap indices falling. Investor caution increased as the India VIX, a volatility gauge, surged over 12%. All sectoral indices ended in the red, reflecting widespread selling pressure.

सोमवार को भारतीय शेयर बाज़ारों में भारी गिरावट आई। Nifty 50 और BSE Sensex दोनों ही काफी नीचे बंद हुए। Nifty 50, 360.25 अंक गिरकर 22,780.25 पर आ गया, वहीं Sensex 1,124.02 अंक लुढ़ककर 72,771.72 पर पहुँच गया। छोटे और मझोले शेयरों वाले इंडेक्स भी गिरे। India VIX, जो बाज़ार की अस्थिरता बताता है, 12% से ज़्यादा बढ़ गया, जिससे निवेशकों में घबराहट बढ़ गई। सभी सेक्टर इंडेक्स लाल निशान में बंद हुए, जो बिकवाली के भारी दबाव को दिखाता है।
