Rs 80 Lakh Prohibited Cough Syrup Seized in Kaimur; Two Arrested

Authorities in Kaimur district seized approximately 30,200 bottles of prohibited cough syrup, valued at around Rs 80 lakh, from a truck on GT Road. The truck, registered in Uttar Pradesh, was found to be carrying the illegal consignment concealed beneath a layer of flattened rice. The driver and his helper, both residents of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, were apprehended during the operation. An investigation is currently underway to identify the individuals responsible for arranging and receiving the shipment, as well as to uncover any other parties involved in the illicit trade.

कैमूर जिले में अधिकारियों ने जीटी रोड पर एक ट्रक से करीब 80 लाख रुपये की अनुमानित कीमत वाली 30,200 बोतलें प्रतिबंधित कफ सिरप जब्त कीं। उत्तर प्रदेश में पंजीकृत ट्रक में चिवड़ा की परत के नीचे अवैध खेप छिपाई गई थी। इस दौरान उत्तर प्रदेश के झांसी के रहने वाले ट्रक चालक और उसके सहायक को गिरफ्तार किया गया। खेप की व्यवस्था करने और प्राप्त करने वाले व्यक्तियों की पहचान करने के साथ-साथ अवैध व्यापार में शामिल अन्य पार्टियों का पता लगाने के लिए वर्तमान में जांच चल रही है।
