केरल के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के. मुरलीधरन और कल्याण मंत्री के.ए. तुलसी 31 अक्टूबर को अट्टापडी का दौरा कर स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं के बढ़ते मामलों को संबोधित करेंगे। सांसद वी.के. श्रीकंदन ने सिकल सेल रोग, एनीमिया, पोषण संबंधी कमियों और आपातकालीन सेवाओं की कमी जैसे मुद्दों पर प्रकाश डाला। सामुदायिक रसोई में भारी कमी आई है, और पूरक आहार वितरित किए जाने के बावजूद, कमियां बनी हुई हैं। पलक्कड़ जिले में डॉक्टरों की रिक्तियां भी स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की डिलीवरी में बाधा डाल रही हैं। एक विशेषज्ञ समिति इस क्षेत्र के लिए समाधान की सिफारिश करने के लिए स्वास्थ्य मुद्दों का अध्ययन कर रही है।
