Kashmir CID Clearance Difficulties Persist Despite Court Rulings, Says Tarigami

CPI(M) leader M.Y. Tarigami stated that many individuals in Kashmir continue to face challenges obtaining CID clearance, even after court rulings. The High Court has previously ruled that security clearance should not be denied based on relatives' alleged involvement in militancy. However, Tarigami highlighted that people are still being affected by the past actions of even distant relatives, impacting younger generations. He urged a review of the verification process to assess individuals on their own conduct, ensuring rights and futures are not compromised.

CPI(M) नेता एम.वाई. तारीगामी ने कहा कि कोर्ट के फैसलों के बाद भी कश्मीर में कई लोगों को CID क्लीयरेंस मिलने में दिक्कतें आ रही हैं। हाई कोर्ट ने पहले कहा था कि रिश्तेदारों के कथित तौर पर आतंकवाद में शामिल होने के आधार पर सुरक्षा क्लीयरेंस से इनकार नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। लेकिन, तारीगामी ने बताया कि लोग अब भी दूर के रिश्तेदारों के पिछले कामों से प्रभावित हो रहे हैं, जिसका असर नई पीढ़ी पर पड़ रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि सत्यापन प्रक्रिया की समीक्षा की जानी चाहिए ताकि लोगों का मूल्यांकन उनके अपने आचरण के आधार पर हो और उनके अधिकारों और भविष्य से समझौता न हो।
