UP CEO Orders Statewide ECINET Login Shutdown Amid Pilibhit Voter Roll Row

Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa has ordered the immediate deactivation of ECINET portal login IDs for all voter registration centre operators statewide. This action follows alleged misuse of credentials in Pilibhit, where 13,779 voter forms were erroneously entered on the portal between May 31 and August 29, 2026, with 10,470 approved. The outsourced computer assistant allegedly involved in the Pilibhit case has also had their services terminated. The directive aims to maintain the integrity, security, and transparency of electoral roll management across the state.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा ने पूरे राज्य में सभी मतदाता पंजीकरण केंद्र ऑपरेटरों के लिए ECINET पोर्टल लॉगिन आईडी को तत्काल निष्क्रिय करने का आदेश दिया है। यह कार्रवाई पीलीभीत में कथित तौर पर क्रेडेंशियल्स के दुरुपयोग के बाद की गई है, जहाँ 31 मई और 29 अगस्त, 2026 के बीच पोर्टल पर गलती से 13,779 मतदाता फॉर्म दर्ज किए गए थे, जिनमें से 10,470 स्वीकृत किए गए थे। पीलीभीत मामले में कथित तौर पर शामिल आउटसोर्स कंप्यूटर सहायक की सेवाएं भी समाप्त कर दी गई हैं। इस निर्देश का उद्देश्य पूरे राज्य में चुनावी रोल प्रबंधन की अखंडता, सुरक्षा और पारदर्शिता बनाए रखना है।
