Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine cannot currently use its interceptor systems against Russian drones due to speed restrictions on Starshield, an upgraded military version of Starlink. He explained that the technology shuts off in Ukraine after reaching 161 km/h, while operating at higher speeds in the EU. Zelenskyy mentioned ongoing discussions with U.S. officials and SpaceX, though he noted a lack of response from the company. These restrictions reportedly make it harder for Ukraine to counter Russian drone attacks, which recently targeted energy infrastructure.
