Kapil Sibal Welcomes SC Directions on Protests, Restoring Faith in Justice

Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has welcomed the Supreme Court's directions regarding protests in Delhi, stating that the order has restored people's faith in the justice system. The Supreme Court directed that peaceful protesters should not be illegally detained and asked the Centre to ensure normal metro and uninterrupted internet services. The court also directed that lawyers and journalists should not be impeded in their professional duties. This comes after allegations of metro disruption, station closures, harassment, and illegal detention of over 7,000 protesters.

राज्यसभा सांसद कपिल सिब्बल ने दिल्ली में विरोध प्रदर्शनों को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देशों का स्वागत किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस आदेश ने न्याय प्रणाली में लोगों का भरोसा बहाल किया है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने निर्देश दिया कि शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शनकारियों को अवैध रूप से हिरासत में नहीं लिया जाना चाहिए और केंद्र से कहा कि वह मेट्रो सेवाओं और इंटरनेट को सामान्य और निर्बाध बनाए रखे। अदालत ने यह भी निर्देश दिया कि वकीलों और पत्रकारों को उनके पेशेवर कर्तव्यों के निर्वहन में बाधा नहीं डाली जानी चाहिए। यह मेट्रो में व्यवधान, स्टेशनों को बंद करने, उत्पीड़न और 7,000 से अधिक प्रदर्शनकारियों को अवैध रूप से हिरासत में लिए जाने के आरोपों के बाद आया है।
