Undertrial Escapes From Bulandshahr Court Custody, Police Launch Manhunt

An undertrial prisoner, Md Ashraf, escaped from police custody on Saturday afternoon while being presented at the Bulandshahr district court in Uttar Pradesh. Ashraf, in his mid-20s, had been in district jail since 2022 and was brought for a hearing under the NDPS Act. Following the escape, which occurred around 4 pm, police immediately launched a search operation across the court complex and surrounding areas. Multiple police teams have been deployed to apprehend the undertrial, and raids are underway at his suspected hideouts.

उत्तर प्रदेश के बुलंदशहर जिला कोर्ट में शनिवार दोपहर को पेशी के दौरान एक विचाराधीन कैदी, एमडी अशरफ, पुलिस की हिरासत से भाग गया। अशरफ, जो 20 के दशक के मध्य में है, एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत सुनवाई के लिए 2022 से जिला जेल में था। दोपहर करीब 4 बजे हुई इस घटना के बाद, पुलिस ने तुरंत कोर्ट परिसर और आसपास के इलाकों में तलाशी अभियान शुरू कर दिया। विचाराधीन कैदी को पकड़ने के लिए कई पुलिस टीमों को तैनात किया गया है, और उसके संभावित ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की जा रही है।
