FDI Flows Surge to Five-Year High in July

Net Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows reached a five-year high of US$7.3 billion in July 2026, driven by robust gross inflows of US$14.6 billion. Communication, financial, and computer services attracted the largest share of equity inflows. Mauritius, the UAE, and the US were the primary source countries for these investments. Overseas investments also saw an increase in July, reversing a two-month decline. Outward FDI primarily targeted Singapore, the UK, and the UAE, with financial, insurance, business services, and manufacturing sectors leading these outflows.

जुलाई 2026 में शुद्ध विदेशी प्रत्यक्ष निवेश (FDI) प्रवाह 7.3 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के पांच साल के उच्चतम स्तर पर पहुंच गया, जो 14.6 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के मजबूत सकल प्रवाह से प्रेरित था। इक्विटी प्रवाह का सबसे बड़ा हिस्सा कम्युनिकेशन, वित्तीय और कंप्यूटर सेवाओं ने आकर्षित किया। मॉरीशस, यूएई और अमेरिका इन निवेशों के प्राथमिक स्रोत देश थे। जुलाई में विदेशी निवेश में भी वृद्धि देखी गई, जिससे दो महीने की गिरावट उलट गई। विदेशी एफडीआई ने मुख्य रूप से सिंगापुर, यूके और यूएई को लक्षित किया, जिसमें वित्तीय, बीमा, व्यावसायिक सेवाओं और विनिर्माण क्षेत्रों ने इन बहिर्वाहों का नेतृत्व किया।
