Dharwad Faces Water Crisis Due To Rainfall Deficit

Dharwad district is facing a significant water shortage due to a 45% rainfall deficit this monsoon. The district has received only 247.9 mm of rain against the normal 450.3 mm. This deficit has led to drinking water scarcity in 17 villages across three taluks. The administration is supplying water via borewells and has filled 55 tanks from the Malaprabha reservoir. Residents are urged to adopt water-saving practices to manage the situation.

धारवाड़ में बारिश की कमी से जल संकट

धारवाड़ जिले में इस मॉनसून में 45% बारिश कम होने से पानी की भारी कमी हो गई है। सामान्य 450.3 मिमी की जगह सिर्फ 247.9 मिमी बारिश हुई है। इस वजह से तीन तालुकों के 17 गांवों में पीने के पानी की किल्लत हो गई है। प्रशासन बोरवेल से पानी पहुंचा रहा है और मालप्रभा जलाशय से 55 टैंक भरे गए हैं। लोगों से पानी बचाने की अपील की गई है।
