Noida and Greater Noida are implementing strict pollution control measures as the GRAP-1 comes into effect. The number of monitoring centers has been increased from 47 to 60, and 34 special teams will enforce regulations against violations like open burning and construction dust. An AI-based Central Command and Control Center will enhance inter-departmental coordination for swift complaint resolution. Restrictions on construction activities, diesel generator use, and industrial units will intensify as air quality deteriorates. The region's AQI has already reached 274, exceeding last year's levels.
