Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's father, Sanjeev, addressed his son's absence from India's T20I matches against Afghanistan. He stated that Vaibhav is ready to play when needed. Sanju Samson replaced Sooryavanshi in the playing XI, scoring 57 off 22 balls in the second T20I. Captain Shreyas Iyer indicated Sooryavanshi might play the third T20I. Samson emphasized team unity over individual competition, stating that external competition doesn't affect the team's mindset.
