The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 50 kg of methamphetamine, including 30 kg of Yaba tablets and 20 kg of crystal meth, in Mizoram and Assam. Four individuals were arrested under the NDPS Act following specific intelligence about drug consignments from Myanmar. The drugs were found concealed in a specially constructed cavity within an office table. These seizures highlight the persistent challenge of cross-border synthetic drug trafficking into India's northeastern states from regions like the Golden Triangle.
