Youth Douses Himself in Petrol, Sets Himself Ablaze While Proposing to Student in Mysuru

A 26-year-old man from Mandya district attempted to immolate himself and subsequently set a diploma engineering student ablaze near her college in Mysuru. The accused, Chandan, doused himself with petrol and torched himself while asking the student to love him, then tried to hug her. The girl managed to free herself but sustained burn injuries. Both individuals, who hail from the same village, are hospitalized. The youth has suffered severe burns and is battling for life, while the student is reported to be out of danger.

मंड्या जिले के 26 वर्षीय चंदन ने मैसूरु में अपनी कॉलेज की छात्रा प्रेमिका से प्यार का इजहार करते हुए खुद पर पेट्रोल छिड़क कर आग लगा ली। इसके बाद उसने छात्रा को गले लगाने की कोशिश की, जिससे वह भी झुलस गई। दोनों एक ही गांव के रहने वाले हैं और अस्पताल में भर्ती हैं। युवक गंभीर रूप से झुलसा है और उसकी हालत नाजुक है, जबकि छात्रा खतरे से बाहर बताई जा रही है।
