Ganjam Accident Toll Rises To 3; Truck Driver On The Run

The death toll from a series of accidents on National Highway-16 in Ganjam district has risen to three. Two more individuals, Binod Kumar and Laxmidhar Gouda, succumbed to their injuries on Thursday while undergoing treatment. The initial fatality was Rojalini Mishra, who died at the scene on Wednesday evening. Eight other people were injured, with two in critical condition and receiving intensive care. The accident involved a truck losing control and colliding with multiple vehicles, prompting local residents to block the highway and demand an overbridge.

गंजम जिले में नेशनल हाईवे-16 पर हुए सड़क हादसों में मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 3 हो गई है। गुरुवार को इलाज के दौरान बिनोद कुमार और लक्ष्मीधर गौड़ा नाम के दो और लोगों ने दम तोड़ दिया। बुधवार शाम को घटनास्थल पर ही रोजालिनी मिश्रा की मौत हो गई थी। आठ अन्य लोग घायल हुए हैं, जिनमें से दो की हालत गंभीर है और उन्हें गहन चिकित्सा इकाई (ICU) में रखा गया है। इस हादसे में एक ट्रक ने नियंत्रण खो दिया और कई वाहनों को टक्कर मार दी, जिसके बाद स्थानीय लोगों ने हाईवे को जाम कर दिया और ओवरब्रिज की मांग की।
