ONGC Videsh to Acquire Operatorship of Venezuelan Oil Projects in 3-6 Months

ONGC's overseas arm, ONGC Videsh, is in advanced talks to secure operatorship rights for crude oil projects in Venezuela's San Cristobal and Carabobo. The company expects to finalize these arrangements within the next three to six months. This acquisition will allow ONGC Videsh to manage operations, sell crude oil, and handle fiscal responsibilities, enabling the recoupment of over $500 million in stuck dividends. Previously, the lack of offtake rights led to dividend accumulation issues.
