The accident occurred around 1:30 am on Sunday, killing 14 people and injuring 28, with seven in critical condition. The truck entered a prohibited zone on Chinor Road, causing a temple wall to collapse and trap victims.

मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने ग्वालियर के सिटी एसपी को हटाने और आठ अन्य अधिकारियों को निलंबित करने का आदेश दिया है। यह आदेश शीतला माता मंदिर के बाहर एक ट्रक द्वारा श्रद्धालुओं को कुचल देने की दुखद घटना के बाद आया है। यह दुर्घटना रविवार तड़के करीब 1:30 बजे हुई, जिसमें 14 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 28 घायल हो गए, जिनमें से सात की हालत गंभीर है। ट्रक चिनौर रोड पर एक प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्र में घुस गया, जिससे मंदिर की दीवार गिर गई और लोग फंस गए।
