AIADMK Excludes Velumani, Shanmugam From Campaigners

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has excluded senior leaders S P Velumani and C Ve Shanmugam from the party’s list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming bypolls. This decision follows Palaniswami's expressed displeasure over their perceived functioning as a separate entity within and outside the assembly. Other leaders associated with their camp were also omitted, indicating a move to limit the influence of the dissident faction in the bypoll campaign.

एआईएडीएमके के महासचिव ई. के. पलानीस्वामी ने आगामी उपचुनावों के लिए पार्टी के 40 स्टार प्रचारकों की सूची से वरिष्ठ नेताओं एस. पी. वेलुमणि और सी. वी. षणमुगम को बाहर कर दिया है। यह फैसला विधानसभा के अंदर और बाहर उनके अलग गुट की तरह काम करने पर पलानीस्वामी की नाराजगी के बाद आया है। उनके खेमे से जुड़े अन्य नेताओं को भी सूची से हटा दिया गया है, जिससे उपचुनाव प्रचार में असंतुष्ट गुट का प्रभाव सीमित करने का संकेत मिलता है।
