Dry Cleaner To Pay Rs 59,000 For Damaged

The Srinagar district consumer commission has ordered a dry-cleaning service to pay Rs 47,000 for damaging a customer's pashmina shawl and pheran. The service provider, UClean Select Srinagar, was also directed to pay Rs 10,000 in compensation and Rs 2,000 for litigation costs. The customer had given 18 articles for dry cleaning and alleged they were returned damaged. The service provider failed to appear before the commission, leading to an ex parte order.

श्रीनगर के डिस्ट्रिक्ट कंज्यूमर कमीशन ने एक ड्राई-क्लीनिंग सर्विस को ग्राहक का पश्मीना शॉल और फेरन खराब करने पर 47,000 रुपये देने का आदेश दिया है। UClean Select Srinagar को 10,000 रुपये हर्जाना और 2,000 रुपये मुकदमेबाजी के खर्च के तौर पर भी देने होंगे। ग्राहक ने 18 चीजें ड्राई क्लीनिंग के लिए दी थीं, जो खराब होकर वापस मिलीं। सर्विस प्रोवाइडर कमीशन में पेश नहीं हुआ, इसलिए यह एकतरफा फैसला सुनाया गया।
