UK charity Just Helping successfully recycled 88,544 real Christmas trees in 2026, diverting them from landfill to create mulch and biomass products. This initiative, the largest in its 14-year history, raised a record £1,885,915 for local UK causes, significantly exceeding the previous year's total. Over 4,000 volunteers contributed to the effort, which also prevented an estimated 1.4 million kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. The funds raised will support 70 lead charity partners, primarily local hospices, and numerous smaller community groups.
