Minnesota Farmer Discovers 11-Foot Metal Object Suspected To Be Space Debris

Hindustan Times · science

A farmer in western Minnesota discovered a charred, 11-foot metal object in his cornfield, sparking an investigation into whether it is space debris. The farmer found the bowl-shaped object on October 14 and believes it may have been in the field for about six weeks. Officials noted serial numbers on the scorched device, which could help determine its origin. Aerospace observers suggest the object might be linked to a Chinese Zhuque-2E rocket launched earlier this year. Authorities have confirmed there is no public threat.
