Raigad Zilla Parishad Student Injured As Classroom Plaster Collapses

An 8-year-old student sustained head injuries after plaster fell from her classroom ceiling in a Raigad Zilla Parishad school. The incident occurred on Thursday in Dhakte-Shahpur, Alibag taluka, where the Class 3 student was sitting at her bench. She was rushed to a private hospital and received ten stitches, while other students had a narrow escape. The school, which has 28 students and two teachers, has temporarily relocated classes to an adjoining room. The 12-year-old building had undergone repairs a year ago, and a structural audit is now planned.
