The visit was planned for participation in the SIAL 2026 international food trade show in Paris. The Centre had cited security concerns and lack of a formal invitation, while Punjab alleged discrimination against the AAP-ruled state. This ruling permits Mann to travel for promoting trade and investment, following a previous denial for a UK and Israel trip.
