Computer memory company Netlist announced that Micron will pay $600 million to settle a patent dispute concerning Micron's memory chips. Under the agreement, Micron will pay $30 million quarterly for a five-year license to Netlist's patent portfolio, which includes high bandwidth memory technology. This settlement follows a $445 million patent infringement verdict Netlist won against Micron in 2024. Netlist CEO C.K. Hong stated the agreement validates the value of their AI memory technologies and their commitment to protecting intellectual property.
