The government order mandates that departments earmark funds for such events, but the temple authorities have been covering the expenses incurred by departments like police and the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. This financial burden has increased significantly over the years, with the temple's own expenditure rising steeply. Other State festivals receive government funding, and temple employees believe the Dasara festival should be treated similarly.
