A senior jewellery firm manager, wanted in a Delhi rape case, has been extradited from the UAE to India. The accused, 38-year-old Sajeer Palli Mooppan, was brought to Delhi on Wednesday after UAE authorities handed him over. The case dates back to October 2025, when he allegedly raped a 20-year-old woman after incapacitating her. He fled India in January 2026 and was later apprehended in Dubai. Coordinated efforts by Delhi Police, Interpol, CBI, and government ministries facilitated his return.

दिल्ली रेप के मामले में वांछित एक वरिष्ठ ज्वैलरी फर्म के मैनेजर को यूएई से भारत प्रत्यर्पित किया गया है। आरोपी, 38 वर्षीय सजीर पल्ली मूप्पन, बुधवार को संयुक्त अरब अमीरात के अधिकारियों द्वारा सौंपे जाने के बाद दिल्ली लाया गया। यह मामला अक्टूबर 2025 का है, जब उसने कथित तौर पर एक 20 वर्षीय महिला को बेहोश करने के बाद उसके साथ बलात्कार किया था। वह जनवरी 2026 में भारत से भाग गया था और बाद में दुबई में पकड़ा गया था। दिल्ली पुलिस, इंटरपोल, सीबीआई और सरकारी मंत्रालयों के समन्वित प्रयासों से उसकी वापसी संभव हुई।
