Gold, Silver Prices Fall Amid Fed Rate Hike
Economic Times Markets · stocks
Gold and silver prices have dropped for a second consecutive day on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). This decline is attributed to rising oil prices fueling inflation concerns and strengthening expectations of further interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve. Gold futures for October 2026 delivery fell by Rs 235 to Rs 1,46,569 per 10 grams, while silver futures for September 2026 delivery decreased by Rs 1,542 to Rs 2,25,900 per kg. The yellow metal has declined Rs 4,300 in two sessions, and silver is down nearly Rs 9,000.
