BEST undertaking has discontinued its Route A471, formerly 524L, which connected Borivli station (East) to Vashi's APMC market and later served office-goers travelling towards Powai and SEEPZ. The route's decline began in July 2021 with curtailments to Ghatkopar, and by September 2024, it was renamed A471. BEST officials cited low passenger response as the reason for cancellation, though commuters lament the loss of an affordable, direct connection.
