India's No. 3 Batting Choice Questioned After Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Poor Show

NDTV Sports · sports

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was positioned at the crucial No. 3 batting spot for India during the second T20I against New Zealand. However, this strategic decision proved unsuccessful as Sooryavanshi managed to score only 4 runs off 8 deliveries. Following the match, the decision to bat him at this position has drawn scrutiny from figures like Gautam Gambhir. The core of the questioning revolves around whether this batting order truly allows Sooryavanshi to perform at his optimal level, impacting the team's overall batting strategy and performance in the crucial middle overs.
