Delhi's air quality worsened significantly on Tuesday, with the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) climbing to 331, placing it in the 'very poor' category. PM2.5 was identified as the primary pollutant, affecting most monitoring stations across the city. Eight locations even crossed the 400 mark, entering the 'severe' category. In response to deteriorating conditions and unfavorable meteorological forecasts, authorities have invoked Stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) across the Delhi-NCR region, mandating stricter pollution control measures.
