Delhi-NCR Implements GRAP-2 Measures to Combat Severe Air Pollution

CAQM has implemented Stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP-II) in Delhi-NCR, effective, due to worsening air quality with an AQI of 324. This plan restricts the use of diesel generators, except for emergencies, and bans coal and wood in hotels and restaurants, including tandoors. To discourage private vehicle use, parking fees will be increased, while public transport like metro and buses will see increased frequency. Additionally, measures to control dust from roads and construction sites are being intensified.

वायु गुणवत्ता के बिगड़ने और AQI 324 होने के कारण CAQM ने दिल्ली-एनसीआर में ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान (GRAP-II) के चरण II को लागू कर दिया है। इस योजना के तहत आपात स्थिति को छोड़कर डीजल जनरेटर के उपयोग पर रोक लगा दी गई है, और होटलों और रेस्तरां में कोयले और लकड़ी के इस्तेमाल पर भी प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया है, जिसमें तंदूर भी शामिल हैं। निजी वाहनों के इस्तेमाल को हतोत्साहित करने के लिए पार्किंग शुल्क बढ़ाया जाएगा, जबकि मेट्रो और बसों जैसे सार्वजनिक परिवहन की आवृत्ति बढ़ाई जाएगी। इसके अलावा, सड़कों और निर्माण स्थलों से धूल को नियंत्रित करने के उपायों को भी तेज किया जा रहा है।
