Moinabad Town Planning Officer, Senior Assistant Caught Accepting ₹75,000 Bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended Moinabad Municipality's Town Planning Officer, Gundu Vani, and senior assistant Yelamoni Sudarshan on Wednesday for allegedly accepting a ₹75,000 bribe. The officials were accused of demanding and receiving the money from a complainant to avoid taking coercive action against a construction project. The bribe amount was recovered from Sudarshan's possession during a trap operation. The ACB stated that both officials acted improperly and dishonestly in their duties. They are being produced before a special judge for judicial remand, while further investigation is ongoing.

एंटी-करप्शन ब्यूरो (ACB) ने बुधवार को मोइनबाद नगरपालिका के टाउन प्लानिंग ऑफिसर, गुंडू वानी, और सीनियर असिस्टेंट येलमोनी सुदर्शन को ₹75,000 की रिश्वत लेते हुए पकड़ा। अधिकारियों पर आरोप है कि उन्होंने एक निर्माण परियोजना के खिलाफ कोई कड़ी कार्रवाई न करने के लिए शिकायतकर्ता से पैसे मांगे और लिए। ट्रैप ऑपरेशन के दौरान सुदर्शन के पास से रिश्वत की रकम बरामद की गई। ACB ने कहा कि दोनों अधिकारियों ने अपने कर्तव्यों में अनुचित और बेईमानी से काम किया। उन्हें न्यायिक रिमांड के लिए एक विशेष न्यायाधीश के सामने पेश किया जा रहा है, जबकि आगे की जांच जारी है।
