AAP Files Complaint Over Cockroach Effigy Burning; BJP Calls Opponents 'Political Termites'

Delhi AAP president Saurabh Bharadwaj has lodged a complaint with the Lieutenant Governor and Delhi Police Commissioner against the Shri Keshav Ramlila Committee in Pitampura for planning to burn a cockroach effigy during Dussehra. Bharadwaj accused the organisers, including BJP MLA Ashok Goel, of hurting religious sentiments and altering sacred Hindu traditions. The organisers stated the effigy aimed to raise awareness about filth and health issues. BJP minister Kapil Mishra defended the act, calling critics 'political termites' and equating the cockroach to filth and anti-national forces.

दिल्ली AAP के अध्यक्ष सौरभ भारद्वाज ने पितमपुरा की श्री केशव रामलीला समिति के खिलाफ उपराज्यपाल और दिल्ली पुलिस आयुक्त से शिकायत दर्ज कराई है। समिति दशहरा के दौरान तिलचट्टे के पुतले को जलाने की योजना बना रही थी। भारद्वाज ने आयोजकों, जिनमें भाजपा विधायक अशोक गोयल भी शामिल हैं, पर धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाने और पवित्र हिंदू परंपराओं को बदलने का आरोप लगाया। आयोजकों ने कहा कि पुतले का उद्देश्य गंदगी और स्वास्थ्य संबंधी मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना था। भाजपा मंत्री कपिल मिश्रा ने इस कृत्य का बचाव करते हुए आलोचकों को 'राजनीतिक दीमक' कहा और तिलचट्टे की तुलना गंदगी और राष्ट्र-विरोधी ताकतों से की।
