Jharkhand Opens Reservoir Gates Due To Heavy Rains

Heavy rainfall in Jharkhand has caused water levels in 10 of the state's 62 reservoirs to reach their maximum capacity. Authorities have opened floodgates to manage the inflow and prevent potential flooding. Three reservoirs in Gumla and three in Simdega are among those affected, with others located in Ranchi, West Singhbhum, Pakur, and Lohardaga. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have alerted residents in vulnerable areas. River levels, including the Kharkai and Subarnarekha, have also risen significantly, with the Kharkai exceeding its danger mark.

झारखंड में भारी बारिश के कारण राज्य के 62 जलाशयों में से 10 का जलस्तर अपनी अधिकतम क्षमता तक पहुँच गया है। अधिकारियों ने संभावित बाढ़ को रोकने के लिए पानी के बहाव को नियंत्रित करने के लिए गेट खोल दिए हैं। गुमला में तीन और सिमडेगा में तीन जलाशय प्रभावितों में से हैं, जबकि अन्य रांची, पश्चिम सिंहभूम, पाकुड़ और लोहरदगा में स्थित हैं। स्थानीय अधिकारी स्थिति की बारीकी से निगरानी कर रहे हैं और संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों के निवासियों को सतर्क कर दिया है। खरकई और सुवर्णरेखा सहित नदियों का जलस्तर भी काफी बढ़ गया है, जिसमें खरकई अपने खतरे के निशान को पार कर गई है।
