Central Teams Assess Drought Impact In Karnataka For Second Day

Inter-Ministerial Central Teams continued their assessment of drought-hit areas in Karnataka for the second day on Sunday. They visited villages across Yadgir, Raichur, Mysuru, Hassan, and Davanagere districts, interacting with farmers and officials. The teams will evaluate the drought situation and estimate losses until October 6 before submitting a report to the Centre. Karnataka has submitted two memorandums, estimating losses at ₹46,000 crore and seeking approximately ₹7,500 crore in relief.

अंतर-मंत्रालयी केंद्रीय टीमों ने रविवार को दूसरे दिन कर्नाटक के सूखा प्रभावित इलाकों का जायजा लेना जारी रखा। उन्होंने यादगीर, रायचूर, मैसूरु, हासन और दावणगेरे जिलों के गांवों का दौरा किया, किसानों और अधिकारियों से बातचीत की। टीमें 6 अक्टूबर तक सूखे की स्थिति का मूल्यांकन करेंगी और नुकसान का अनुमान लगाएंगी, जिसके बाद वे केंद्र को एक रिपोर्ट सौंपेंगी। कर्नाटक ने दो ज्ञापन सौंपे हैं, जिनमें ₹46,000 करोड़ के नुकसान का अनुमान लगाया गया है और लगभग ₹7,500 करोड़ की राहत मांगी गई है।
