Former Kerala DGP Seeks High Court Nod To Travel Abroad For UAE Job

Former Kerala DGP Tomin Thachankary has approached the Kerala High Court seeking permission to travel abroad to rejoin his employment in the UAE. He was convicted in a disproportionate assets case and sentenced to four years rigorous imprisonment, but the High Court suspended his sentence and granted bail with travel restrictions. Thachankary informed the court that he is employed in Sharjah and Dubai and risks losing his job if he does not return soon. The court has granted time for the state to file its objection.

पूर्व केरल डीजीपी टॉमिन थचंकरी ने यूएई में अपनी नौकरी फिर से शुरू करने के लिए विदेश यात्रा की अनुमति मांगने के लिए केरल हाई कोर्ट का रुख किया है। उन्हें अनुपातहीन संपत्ति के मामले में दोषी ठहराया गया था और चार साल की कठोर कैद की सजा सुनाई गई थी, लेकिन हाई कोर्ट ने उनकी सजा निलंबित कर दी थी और यात्रा प्रतिबंधों के साथ जमानत दे दी थी। थचंकरी ने अदालत को सूचित किया कि वह शारजाह और दुबई में कार्यरत हैं और यदि वह जल्द ही वापस नहीं लौटे तो उन्हें अपनी नौकरी गंवानी पड़ सकती है। अदालत ने राज्य को अपनी आपत्ति दर्ज कराने के लिए समय दिया है।
