CJP Calls Fresh Protest After Delhi Police Crackdown on Jantar Mantar Stir

CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde has called for fresh protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls. This comes after Delhi Police detained over 4,000 protesters and several INDIA bloc leaders, including former chief ministers, who attempted to join the stir at Jantar Mantar. CJP leaders were also detained upon arrival in Delhi. Shinde vowed daily marches until Kumar is sacked, accusing him of favouring the BJP in updating voter lists.

CJP नेता अजिंक्य शिंदे ने चुनावी नामावलियों में कथित अनियमितताओं को लेकर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर नए विरोध प्रदर्शन का आह्वान किया है। यह तब हुआ जब दिल्ली पुलिस ने जंतर मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल होने की कोशिश कर रहे 4,000 से अधिक प्रदर्शनकारियों और कई INDIA गठबंधन के नेताओं को हिरासत में लिया, जिनमें पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री भी शामिल थे। दिल्ली पहुंचने पर CJP नेताओं को भी हिरासत में लिया गया। शिंदे ने कुमार को मतदाता सूची को अपडेट करने में भाजपा का पक्ष लेने का आरोप लगाते हुए, कुमार को बर्खास्त किए जाने तक दैनिक मार्च का संकल्प लिया।
