Shreya Ghoshal Recalls Reworking Aashiqui 2 Song to Match Shraddha Kapoor's Character

Hindustan Times · entertainment

Singer Shreya Ghoshal revealed how she re-recorded the song 'Sun Raha Hai Na Tu' from Aashiqui 2 to better suit Shraddha Kapoor's character. Ghoshal explained that Kapoor was new to acting and not yet a professional singer, so the song needed a simpler, less ornamented tone. Initially, Ghoshal sang it in her own decorative style, but upon feedback from Mohit Suri and Mukesh Bhatt, she re-recorded it with plain notes to match the character's novice status. This experience highlighted how character context significantly impacts film song recordings.
