Gujarat Govt Proposes Gifting Disputed Land To MP Yusuf Pathan

Months after former cricketer and Lok Sabha MP Yusuf Pathan left the Trinamool Congress, the Gujarat government has proposed to gift him 500 square metres of a disputed municipal plot in Vadodara. The proposal, submitted by the Vadodara municipal commissioner, will be presented to the BJP-ruled civic body's standing committee for approval. The land has been a subject of dispute for a long time. This move comes less than two months after Pathan withdrew a petition related to the land.

पूर्व क्रिकेटर और लोकसभा सांसद यूसुफ पठान के तृणमूल कांग्रेस छोड़ने के महीनों बाद, गुजरात सरकार ने वडोदरा में एक विवादित नगर निगम प्लॉट का 500 वर्ग मीटर उन्हें उपहार में देने का प्रस्ताव रखा है। वडोदरा नगर निगम आयुक्त द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी के लिए भाजपा शासित नागरिक निकाय की स्थायी समिति के समक्ष रखा जाएगा। यह ज़मीन लंबे समय से विवाद का विषय रही है। यह कदम पठान द्वारा ज़मीन से संबंधित एक याचिका वापस लेने के दो महीने से भी कम समय में आया है।
