Uttar Pradesh Khadi Festival Begins in Meerut Showcasing Diverse Indian Products

A ten-day Khadi Festival and Exhibition, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board, has commenced in Meerut. The event showcases a wide variety of traditional Indian products, handicrafts, textiles, and indigenous goods from different parts of the country, including Khadi garments, Banarasi silk sarees, and Kashmiri shawls. Stalls feature brass products from Moradabad, Kantha embroidery from West Bengal, and wooden handicrafts from Saharanpur. The festival aims to promote traditional industries, generate employment, and provide market access to artisans, aligning with the "Vocal for Local" vision.

मेरठ में खादी महोत्सव शुरू विविध भारतीय उत्पादों का प्रदर्शन

उत्तर प्रदेश खादी एवं ग्रामोद्योग बोर्ड द्वारा आयोजित दस दिवसीय खादी महोत्सव और प्रदर्शनी मेरठ में शुरू हो गई है। इस आयोजन में देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से पारंपरिक भारतीय उत्पाद, हस्तशिल्प, वस्त्र और स्वदेशी सामानों की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला प्रदर्शित की जा रही है, जिसमें खादी के परिधान, बनारसी सिल्क की साड़ियाँ और कश्मीरी शॉल शामिल हैं। विभिन्न स्टॉलों पर मुरादाबाद के पीतल के उत्पाद, पश्चिम बंगाल की कांथा कढ़ाई और सहारनपुर के लकड़ी के हस्तशिल्प भी मौजूद हैं। इस महोत्सव का उद्देश्य पारंपरिक उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देना, रोजगार पैदा करना और कारीगरों को बाजार पहुंच प्रदान करना है, जो "वोकल फॉर लोकल" दृष्टिकोण के अनुरूप है।
