UK Unveils New Safe Routes For Refugees In India To Resettle

The UK Home Office has launched three new "safe and legal" sponsorship routes for refugees in India and six other countries to seek asylum in Britain. These pathways aim to deter illegal migration via small boats or lorries. Eligible refugees, verified by UNHCR and registered before October 1, can be sponsored by UK charities, employers, or universities. Successful applicants will gain immediate rights to work, study, and access welfare benefits, with a five-year path to permanent resettlement.

ब्रिटेन के गृह मंत्रालय ने भारत और छह अन्य देशों के शरणार्थियों के लिए ब्रिटेन में शरण लेने के तीन नए "सुरक्षित और कानूनी" प्रायोजन मार्ग शुरू किए हैं। इन मार्गों का उद्देश्य छोटी नावों या ट्रकों के जरिए अवैध प्रवासन को रोकना है। UNHCR द्वारा सत्यापित और 1 अक्टूबर से पहले पंजीकृत योग्य शरणार्थियों को ब्रिटेन के चैरिटी, नियोक्ता या विश्वविद्यालय प्रायोजित कर सकते हैं। सफल आवेदकों को काम करने, अध्ययन करने और कल्याणकारी लाभ प्राप्त करने का तत्काल अधिकार मिलेगा, साथ ही स्थायी पुनर्वास के लिए पांच साल का मार्ग प्रशस्त होगा।
