Indian Companies' FY27 Profit Growth Estimates Dip Significantly Since February
Business Standard Markets · stocks
Indian companies have seen their estimated profit growth for FY27 decline by over 700 basis points since February, falling from 16.5 per cent to 9.2 per cent. This downgrade is attributed to rising energy and raw material costs, exacerbated by geopolitical conflicts impacting global shipping routes and oil prices. The energy sector experienced the sharpest decline, with earnings growth estimates dropping from 2 per cent to -16.9 per cent. While most sectors saw downgrades, real estate earnings were upgraded due to sustained demand for premium housing.
