Actress and humanitarian Somy Ali emphasized that domestic violence awareness cannot be confined to October. Her NGO, No More Tears, receives approximately 30 calls daily, operating year-round to support survivors of abuse and human trafficking. Ali stressed that awareness campaigns and symbolic gestures like purple ribbons are insufficient without tangible support, such as financial aid for housing and legal assistance. She highlighted that her own experiences and those of immigrant women inspired her to establish the organization, advocating for belief in survivors and education on healthy relationships.
