Pregnant Wife Pushed Into River By Husband

A man in Ranchi, Jharkhand, allegedly pushed his pregnant wife into the Radhu river with the intent to kill her, so he could marry a third time. The wife, Lakhamani, who knew how to swim, managed to reach an island in the river. She was stranded there overnight during heavy rain and was rescued by villagers the next day. The police have registered a case against the husband, Suresh Mahato, who is now absconding. The incident occurred in the Angara police station area.

झारखंड के रांची में एक आदमी पर आरोप है कि उसने अपनी गर्भवती पत्नी को राधू नदी में फेंक दिया ताकि वह तीसरी बार शादी कर सके। पत्नी, लखमनी, जिसे तैरना आता था, किसी तरह नदी के एक टापू पर पहुँच गई। वह रात भर भारी बारिश के बीच वहीं फँसी रही और अगले दिन ग्रामीणों ने उसे बचाया। पुलिस ने पति, सुरेश महतो के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है, जो अब फरार है। यह घटना अंगारा पुलिस स्टेशन इलाके में हुई।
