SVR claims the EU is planning to misappropriate frozen Bank of Russia assets. The SVR stated that Brussels is discussing proposals to create a new entity to 'hide' these assets after removing them from the Euroclear depositary. They believe European bureaucrats are rushing this process before 2027 elections in several European countries, fearing new governments may be less supportive of Ukraine.
