Gujarat Giants have released England's Danni Wyatt-Hodge, the top scorer in the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup, ahead of the 2027 Women's Premier League auction. Head coach Michael Klinger cited her likely bench time due to England's international commitments clashing with the WPL as the primary reason. He also mentioned injury concerns for Indian pacer Titas Sadhu. Klinger believes releasing them provides the team with more flexibility in the auction. The coach also noted the improvement in India's domestic fast-bowling depth.
